Waterproof & Flame-Retardant

Our tent designs come in the option to purchase with either a fire-repellent or water-repellent finish. Additionally, each tent is finished with UV, mold, and mildew-resistant coating to ensure longevity and effectiveness over the course of the seasons and year.

Insulation & Temperature Regulation

Due to its tightly woven fibers coated in weatherproofing finishes, our cotton canvas is naturally insulating. This means it not only traps heat inside the tent, but holds it there for a long time, allowing heat to radiate the space. In times of natural disasters, this can make all the difference. A pre-installed stove jack makes heating the tent even more accessible and safe. Sewn-in floors and a protective skirting add a layer of protection from the elements to the underside of the tent, keep debris and moisture out, and therefore add a layer of warmth underfoot. Bug mesh windows and built-in air vents allow constant, critter-free circulation that keeps condensation at bay. Some designs even include an electric cable outlet to run generators for extra power and heating.

Windproof

Unpredictable high winds can quickly turn things for the worse. Luckily, White Duck hurricane shelter includes galvanized steel poles, and our proprietary shock-absorbing grounding system– built to withstand hectic high winds. Your emergency tent isn’t going anywhere once it’s staked down. Double-stitched seams, protective skirting around the base, and military-grade zippers ensure no drafts and boost durability, reliable structure, and resistance to harsh weather. Reflective adjustable guyropes are strong against wind and add visibility in the dark.

Spaciousness

High vaulted ceilings and tall structured walls allow ample room for standing, stretching, and walking around the tent. Wide entrances and bug-meshed windows also offer not only fresh airflow but also a sense of openness and sunlight– which can make all the difference in morale during chaotic times. Generous floor space allows multiple options for sleeping arrangements, and capacities can range anywhere from 6 up to 12 people.
